Sonic Runners Adventure
Introduction
Sonic Runners Adventure is a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer with endless runner mechanics.
You can play as Sonic and other playable characters through a series of stages with different objectives to complete.
Characters automatically move forward, so players must tap their screen to jump to avoid obstacles and enemies.
Running down slopes and utilizing certain gimmicks will increase a character's speed.
In the stages, you can collect rings and defeat badniks.
Each stage is separated into sections.
Between sections are automated sequences and a checkpoint to store your previously collected rings.
The game has 4 zones (Green Hill, Desert Ruins, Lava Mountain and Sky Sanctuary) and playable characters can be unlocked during the game progression.
At the end of each zone is a Boss stage where you have to battle against Dr. Eggman.
The Bonus stages at the end of a stage can be accessed by finishing a stage with a Bonus item (3 in the J2ME version).
These Bonus stages allow you to earn more rings before the end of the main stage.
All versions feature Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.
Each character has their own ability.
Sonic can perform 2 extra jumps in the air, Tails can fly for a very brief period of time and Knuckles can perform a Dash attack between the first and second jump.

Android/iOS versions
The Android and iOS versions are the main versions of the game.
These versions has a total of 48 stages (12 stages per zone).
There are 9 playable characters and they are represented by teams.
The teams include Team Hero (Sonic, Tails and Knuckles), Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge and Omega) and Team Chaotix (Espio, Charmy and Vector).
In each team, there are 3 character types: Speed, Fly and Power.
The character types give each character their own ability.
These versions also feature Buddies and Booster Items to help you throughout the stages.
The Buddies include characters like Dark Chao who can boost your score for destroying enemies and RC Tornado who recovers your rings when damaged.
You can use Booster Items by touching one of the available item slots.
Unlock up to 3 slots to equip these Active or Passive powers.
J2ME version
The J2ME version is a lesser versions of the game.
Unlike the previous Sonic games released by Gameloft, every version designed for different J2ME devices contain the same number of content, no matter the screen resolution.
The number of stages has been reduced to 28 (7 stages per zone), as well as the number of playable characters (only featuring Sonic, Tails and Knuckles).
The Buddies are absent in this version and Booster Items can be aquired differently.
Instead, Booster Items are scattered throughout the stages and can be used once acquired.
Also, Green Hill Zone uses a jingle from the Splash Hill Zone theme from Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I.
