Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode I

A 2D side-scrolling platforming game, which features gameplay nearly identical to past 2D Sonic games. The game is divided into 5 Zones, each split into 3 acts and a boss act. The only playable character in the game is Sonic, who can run, jump, Spin Dash, and use the Homing Attack.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was originally going to be named "Sonic the Portable", but then got renamed to turn this game into the spiritual successor to the classic Sonic games from the Mega Drive/Genesis.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode II

A 2D side-scrolling platforming game, which features gameplay nearly identical to past 2D Sonic games. The game is divided into 5 Zones, each split into 3 acts and a boss act. Sonic is playable alongside Tails as a companion. Sonic and Tails can team-up to perform new abilities like flying and perform a bigger spin attack.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode II has multiple trial versions, which contains the first acts of Sylvania Castle Zone and White Park Zone. If you finish Sylvania Castle Zone in under 1 minute, you can access the Special Stage. A special THD Lite version was also made for Android devices running on NVidia technology, which has been recently found.
