Sonic the Hedgehog 2

A port of the Mega Drive Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It had new features, such as a new title screen and the ability to resume from the last level you played. There was also an Attack Mode in which you could fight the game's bosses. The Special Stages are rendered in full 3D.

This game was ported and released in Europe and China on the J2ME in two parts: Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Dash! and Crash!, and on the BREW in one part. Versions for low-end phones were also released on the J2ME and BREW. The J2ME versions notably excluded the special stages, with the BREW versions having a software-rendered version of the stage different from the Japanese phone release.

A preinstalled Japanese version from a Panasonic phone has been dumped as part of a Japanese phone preservation effort. However, only the first two Zones are present in the installation (a small part of the game).
