The SEGA Arcade original, Space Harrier is pure and simple blasting fun. Set in a bizarre fantasy world, you control a lone warrior equipped with a flying cannon. Your mission is to destroy everything in sight! Enemies come in all shapes and sizes like a scaly wormlike dragon, rock heads, giant robots and bouncing octopus creatures. Immerse yourself into the fantasy zone!

The shooting game "Space Harrier", which was released in 1985 and has boasted strong popularity, has appeared on Android! Of course, it supports the features unique to Android. Wow! Because it also supports 3D functions, it's possible to play it on a game screen that's completely different from 2D on a 3D stereoscopic phone!

App history

The Android port of Space Harrier was released on July 14th 2011 via the Puyo Puyo! Sega mobile service. It was also available on the Android Market app store.

Controls

There are 2 types of shooting controls: "AUTO" and "Manual". In "AUTO", the hero shoots automatically, whereas in "Manual", you have to press the button at the bottom-right side of the game canvas to shoot.

There are 2 types of movement controls: "Slide" and "Joystick" (or "Virtual").

• Slide: Move the hero around by touching the screen and sliding around.
• Joystick: Move the hero around by moving the virtual joystick at the bottom-left side of the game canvas. In the original game, you can also invert the joystick y-axis controls.

Exclusive to the Mobirev mods are the different sizes of the joystick (small, normal and big) and the ability to invert the y-axis controls for the "Slide" option.

Difficulty Level (Mobirev mods only)

In the Mobirev mods, you can change the game difficulty level. When set to NORMAL, the number of enemies is identical to the original game, whereas in EASY, the number of enemies is decreased by half.

Debug Menu (Mobirev mods only)

In the Mobirev mods, there is a hidden DEBUG MENU that is accessible by pressing 7 times above the MAIN MENU title.

The DEBUG MENU allows you to play in any stages in the game (except stage 18), get infinite lives, being invincible, earn more points and play music and sound effects.
